I just carved my pumpkin today, about 5 days before halloween, do you think that it will last until Halloween or will it rot by then?

Depending on the weather in your area, say if its like 50s and lower it will last but if its 60s and alot warmer no it wont. Some say burn the flesh on the inside some to seal the pumpkin and some also say smear vaseline on the inside to seal the fibers shut. I just carve mine say the Monday before Halloween and stick it in the fridge when we dont want it out. It lasts quite a while that way. Or use a cooler.

there is countless approaches. i've got related some pages. What none of them say is how lots time beyond regulation those approaches supply you. It seems such as you're turning out to be to be the ability to stretch it out to each week longer than commonplace, so in case you have already carved your pumpkin i could plan on carving yet another in basic terms before Halloween, or change to a craft foam pumpkin which will by no potential rot. The strategies in touch contain: cleansing the pumpkin with a bleach answer. Vaseline or cooking oil. Preservative spray, white glue, or clean acrylic spray. Refrigeration, nightly water baths, protecting out of direct sunlight.

It will last until Halloween if you keep it outside where it's cold.
