How do I scare my friends?

I will be home alone on halloween and some of my friends are going to trick or treat at my house. I was thinking of just hiding on my roof then screaming at them or something but I wanted a better idea. Any good ideas on how to scare them a bit? Just in the interest of fun.

Put a whole bunch of scary decorations, and then you hide in a bush and scare them.

When you answer the door have a rag with ketchup on it wrapped around your hand and tell them you were badly cut while doing the dishes and you need an ambulance.

hav a lot of spooky decorations w/ like smoke and webs all over...

then wen u see ur friends coming, you can go behind them (somehow) and scare them w/ those weird (witch or w.e.) sound

be laying on your porch with fake blood everywhere and pretend to be dead. it will be really hard because you will want to laugh
