It is up to you and what YOU believe

Halloween did not start out as a satanic day.... the celtic people believe that was a time when the vail between the living and the dead was the thinnest and spirits of our loved ones came back to see us one last time.

Many other cultures have different beliefs about that day....and that's how Halloween came about... none of them has anything to do with satan.

Let your son trick or treat, for most kids it is all just good fun.

Whether or not celebrating Hallowe'en is bad depends on what you think you are celebrating.

If you really do think you are celebrating Satan and evil, then that would be bad although probably based on a lie about the festival.

If you think you are celebrating some ancient celtic festival of the dead, that is also probably based on a lie but all the same is not inherently evil.

If you think you are celebrating a purely secular festival just for a bit of fun, that isn't evil either but neither is it good. However, if you are Christian, it's a pity to ignore the history.

Hallowe'en is the start, the eve, of the ancient Christian (Catholic) festival of All Saints Day. Because it's catholic, puritan protestants disliked it and damned it as evil, pagan, satanic and many evangelical Christians in the USA have inherited this idea - which description also lead to the idea that it is a pagan festival.

If you remember All Saint's Day - a time to remember all holy people who went before you - the origin of the festival and of many of the customs - then that would be a good thing.

whether or no longer or no longer celebrating Hallowe'en is risky relies upon what you think of you could desire to be celebrating. once you fairly do think of you're celebrating devil and evil, then that could desire to be undesirable in spite of the certainty that via and vast in step with a lie with regard to the competition. for people who have self assurance you're celebrating some old celtic opposition of the lifeless, that could additionally be in maximum circumstances in step with a lie yet all the equivalent will on no account be inherently evil. in case you assume you're celebrating a purely secular pageant purely for a sprint of relaxing, it is not evil the two whether neither is it purely top. whether, in case you're Christian, it is a pity to brush aside the historic previous. Hallowe'en is the initiate, the eve, of the historic Christian (Catholic) opposition of All Saints Day. thinking the certainty that it fairly is catholic, puritan protestants disliked it and damned it as evil, pagan, satanic and a large style of evangelical Christians in the US have inherited this thought - which description additionally deliver approximately the suggestion that it fairly is a pagan opposition. for people who do no longer forget approximately All Saint's Day - a time to recollect all holy persons who went formerly than you - the commencing place of the competition and of most of the customs - then that could desire to be a amazing undertaking.

I am a Non Fundamentalist Evangelical Christian.

Halloween is a Catholic Holiday....All Hallow's Even, the night before All Saints Day; it is a pagan holiday, Samhain; and it is a modern fun day, giving candy out and dressing as monsters or whatever.

It is a harmless thing and has nothing to do with Satan, unless you intend it to be, which you do not.

hey pretty lady. no its not bad. it is not a "satanic holiday" at all. that person overreacted a little. your son will be fine trick-or-treating. its a day of fun. let your son experience halloween like every other kid. dont worry about it. the Church would have said something if it wasnt right.

Wow.... no, the catholic church made it a holliday to win over pagans. they called it all saints eve, and in old english saints=hallows, so it became all hallow's eve, hallow's eve, halloweve, halloween. it is a holiday supported by tha pope! can't go wrong! lol... and besides, it doesnt matter what OTHER people do on a day, its only what YOU do. EVEN IF it WERE a satanic holiday, as long as YOU dont worship satan, your probably in the clear... lol...

i hope this helps!
